Bob Marley
As mentioned above Bob Marley's genre consists of Jamaican, Reggae. Although Marley was born in Jamaica and is Jamaican, he talked about Ethiopia a lot because he was Rasta, believer of Rastafarian religion in which Haile Salasie, the former ruler of Ethiopea is held high in the religion and believed to be "god".
Bob Marley believed in freedom; and the fighting for it.
Bob Marley was very well known for smoking Weed. The day 4/20 is said to be weed day and also a day for Bob Marley. Many people know that he smoked, yes this is true, but did they know why ? Marley was a Rastafarian. Weed is part of the religion. There is no Reggae without marijuana. Bob Marley started smoked clearly for religion reasons. He was very poor as a teen so how he had money for the smoke doesn't make any sense, but now if you think about it , it makes total sense seeing as it is a religion value to him.

Did Bob Marley have an impact on society or culture ?
" Bob Marley ranks among both the most popular and the most misunderstood figures in modern culture " Bob had a huge impact in society and culture. How you ask ? Bob Marley beleived that life was too short to hate and was to short to be sad and upset. He said to always keep a smile on your face even when times get bad. He also said don't worry about a thing because every little thing is going to be alright. He changed the world because he helped people realize that is no need to hate each other because were all on the same earth so lets share it while were here. He was a brilliant man and he believed, correctly, that he could literally cure raicism and hate by injecting love and music into peoples hearts. The day he died was a sorrowful day for the world. Bob also put Jamaica and Jamaican culture on the map.
Although most believe Bob was an inspirational and very life changing man, there are some people who believe that Bob Marley had nothing byt a few good songs and was nothing but a bad influence. Do I agree with them ? No. Do you agree with them ? Well thats up to you. I seem to believe that Bob Marley was a positive man and all he wanted was happiness. You can't hate a man for smoking weed, when he started smoking it because of his religion.
